CONDITIONS
Assume a fully assembled, closed, but unsealed clamshell
or blister. All that remains is package sealing.
|
LABOR REDUCTION
No handling! No delays! With Simpl-Seal® a closed package
remains on the assembly conveyor and continues through the
UV light tunnel. When the package emerges, it is sealed and it
continues its conveyor ride to final packout.
Other sealing methods feature a press and tooling that pressurize
the package and apply a burst of energy to fuse a seam. When the
press releases, the sealing cycle is complete. This "cycle time" dictates
production's pace. The questions: How did the package get in and out of
the press? How long did the cycle take to complete?
|
EXPENSE REDUCTION
No tooling (no purchase/maintenance). No cut-offs/trim (no waste).
No heat/emissions (less HVAC). No pressure or energy burst (less energy).
These are significant reductions. UV's adhesive offsets some of these savings, but overall, expenses are measurably lower.

MORE SALES
Attractive packages move off the shelf faster. An
invisible seal and fewer restrictions on package design, provide for more attractive packaging.
