Simpl-Seal® is “flexible!” Many choices a Simpl-Seal packager can increase efficiency, reduce materials, improve sustainability and make a favorable impact on shelf-presence... all increase profitability.
- For instance, Simpl-Seal allows the use of PET. Currently, RPET is the most “sustainable” choice in the PET group. (RPET is not charged a premium like PETG.) RPET is a good choice with Simpl-Seal, but not as good with predecessor sealers.
- Imagine sealing vertical surfaces.
How can this help?
If a clamshell/double-blister is 5X7, traditionally, a half-inch of it (all around) is sealing flange. This means the "package" is actually 4X6. Removing the flanges saves 30% of the plastic. Simpl-Seal can seal non-flanged surfaces.
- How about replacing the plastic now in use with a plastic that is more rigid? This means the same package “feel” may be achieved with reduced mil thickness (less plastic). Now consider making the blister lid with a thinner plastic than the bottom... more saved plastic and weight... and Simpl-Seal can seal them all!
- With Simpl-Seal, reseals, samples and short runs may be mixed in with other production runs. (This flexibility is important to JIT packaging.)
All these flexibilities are really choices. Each one offers significant profit improvement over predecessors.
Flexibility... this is what provides choices. And choices allow change that improves profitability.
