A "clean" image? Anti-pilferage? Anti-damage/loss? Consumer safety? Sealed-clear-plastic was

Yesterday’s plastic package was sealed via a pressure/fusion
process. Once assembled and closed, a package was placed into
a press by a press-loader (or by automation). Then the package
was pressurized and a burst of energy fused
the plastic (or melted adhesive) to bond a seam. The press then opened and a press-unloader
(or automation) removed the sealed (and cooling) package and sent
it on to final pack-out. Periodically, tooling is checked, cleaned and repaired. A common pressure/fusion installation----> |

Today, Simpl-Seal’s package sealing changes things. Adhesive is so simple to manually or automatically apply to the package seam. When closed, the package is conveyed thru a Simpl-Seal® UV-light tunnel where the ahesive is instantly “cured,” creating a clean, clear, bonded seam. No press. No tooling. No cycle time.
